Mansfield and the Mansfield Youth Basketball Association community suffered a huge
loss with the passing of Beth Flint.  Beth started in the early days of the MYBA
program in the late 1990's and remained on the Board of Directors through 2005 even
though her two sons were already out of the program.  She was there for all the
players, not just her own boys.  Her passion and energy in making sure every child
had a chance to play basketball, and also have a good experience with the game, will
be sorely missed.  Her time and committment to the MYBA was unheralded.  A true
pioneer in the development of our youth basketball program and role model for all of
us to follow, both children and adults.  Her contributions to this community and her
good nature in going about it, will shine on us for years to come.

We just wanted you to know what a special person Beth Flint was.

In Memory of Michaela Smith
The MYBA, along with the rest of the Mansfield Community was
dealt a tragic loss on April 7 with the passing of Michaela Smith.
Michaela played in the MYBA for 8 years  What I found through
coaching her was that she was hardworking, fearless, and just
plain fun to be around.  She would go through a brick wall for
you if you asked her to, and come out of it smiling.  But most
importantly, she was a great teammate and represented what
the MYBA is all about:  Hardwork, development, having fun, and
enjoying the game of basketball.  Michaela did all this, always
smiling.  She was a very special individual and will be missed.

Thank you Michaela for being part of our lives.  You will never be forgotten.

Bruce Bouck - President, MYBA
